Many branches of industry manufacturing cleanliness-sensitive products require materials emitting a minimum amount of contamination. The number of cleanliness-sensitive products is rising dramatically; as a result, it is equally becoming more and more important to find out more about cleanroom-suitable materials.
Up till now, only a handful of materials have been researched with regard to their contaminating behavior. Therefore, we are now placing a new emphasis on research concerned with assessing materials for cleanroom applications.
The product sheet below shows the initial situation, objective and possible solutions for using cleanroom-suitable materials when designing manufacturing equipment and when forecasting particulate emission behavior over a certain period of time. It also shows correlations using classical tribological data base values.
